Full Plate
So this weekend while I was gone I got sustained in my 3rd calling... 4 if you count visiting teaching. So right now I am a Seminary Teacher, the Ward Camp Director, and I just got called as the Primary Chorister. I am gonna be busy this fall especially since Husband is going to be gone for a year up at college at BYU-Idaho. With all those callings, an active involved 13 year old, and a demanding full time job I am gonna be running around crazy.
Kallie Hair Cut

There is not much that I look forward to more than a hair cut from Kallie. She is SOOOOOO Good!!! The problem is that once you get a cut from her you get angry at every other hairdresser that touches your hair. Then add to the fact that she lives 6 hours away and that she is so good that her schedule is always packed.

But I got in this time... YEAH!!!!!!!! Ashlee got her's cut too and it is so cute. Thanks Kallie!!
Wedding Dress Shopping

Seriously we should have been kicked out of the store we had so much fun!!
Haley picked out her wedding dress with our help this past weekend. It was a blast. All of us girls were there but we missed Rebecca. We tried on veils, took pictures, tied a sash around Haley to make her a beauty queen...it was fun!!
SleepOver...Minus the Sleep

When Maddie calls she always asks if we can have a sleepover. A few weeks ago she called and wanted me to come on a Tuesday night for a sleepover. I told her that I had to go to work the next morning and she said it was okay... I could wake up early and drive there. I love how she has no concept of the 6 hours we live apart from each other.
Last weekend I went to visit her and Heidi. So we had our sleepover. The problem is there is not much sleeping that goes on. What usually happens is that Aunnie gets very tired and wants to sleep but Maddie wants to talk and play. So we will get all settle and the talking begins... "Aunnie, are you tired?" "Aunnie, Do you want me to turn on some music?" "Aunnie, lets pretend that we are in a parade and you can be the queen at the parade and I will be the princess." "Aunnie, are you awake?" (As she is pulling my eyelids up) Last time we had a sleepover it was one o'clock in the morning. I was asleep and she was still talking to me. It is hilarious and I love it... I am glad that it's not an everynight thing though. So this time I decided that I would at least get some pictures to document our fun time.
Day Hike in Ridgway
On Saturday June 14th we decided that we would take a family hike. We drove about 20 minutes to Ridgway State Park and had a great time. Sadie and Polly were in heaven. The love going to places where they can be outside without a leash on. Ashlee did not want to go.... so I forced her. After she got there she had fun. Sometimes Mom knows best. Midway through the trail we walked down to the reservoir so the dogs could swim. Ashlee was going to swim but the water was freezing. Sadie played fetch. We kept throwing these little sticks in and she would come out with these huge logs. One of them was bigger than her. She is crazy about the water. All in all it was a fun day just to enjoy nature and our beautiful area we live in.

Eight Random Thoughts
I was tagged by Rebecca. I like this one. Sometimes I think these silly blogs give the most insight into a person.
1. I wish I could follow the directions in my planner better. I am really organized but I often wonder how much more I would accomplish if I was more consistent with using my planner. The problem is that I don't like clutter. So when my planner gets messy with too much scribble I have to get a new one. I think the point is to get it messy and filled up.
2. I love salads but can someone please make a salad dressing I can buy at the grocery store that tastes good. I can barely stomach some of them.
3. I just got back from visiting my Sisters, my Mom and my Neice. I miss Maddie already. I think it is so funny how I don't really like kids but I love her so much. I was thinking on the car ride home about that statement that blood is thick. Seriously that is so true. I feel the same way about Ella. The first time I saw her picture I got tears in my eyes and I immediately had a connection to her. I cannot wait for her to come in August.
4. I have to do some yard work tonight. I have to shovel a lot of dirt and rocks. I want to invent a shovel that is electric powered. I don't have a job big enough for a backhoe or something like that. It's just a small job. I just dread the back breaking work. Man am I lazy or what. I would never have made it as a pioneer woman.
5. I love the ocean. I love everything about it, the sound, the smell, the feel, the beach. I could stay out on the beach for ever. It is so weird to me that it has such a calming effect but yet it is so dangerous. (I have been stung by a sting ray) I think the ocean is one a God's greatest creations.
6. I think I should have done something with animals as a career. I love animals and it might sound dorky but I feel like I have a connection with them. I have no fear of many of them even when I should. (okay except for the sting ray)
7. I want to go to cosmetology school when I get a free year (yeah right) just because I love to do hair. I think it is so fun.
8. One of my life dreams is to sing in front of Simon Cowell. I think it would be scarey but so fun and so worth it. I wonder if I would be one of those people that he would say " you can't sing" and then I would be like" everyone says I have a good voice" and then I would be confused. Maybe he would like my voice and my songs. That would be cool.

In My Happy Garden

So the weekends project was to plant a garden. We decided to do garden boxes to hopefully control the weeds (which you can see we are having a problem with.) We have a field behind our house and the weeds just spread like wild. Being city folk we are still learning what works and what doesn't. The garden project took us all day on Saturday and then we planted last night for family night. We will see how we do. If the garden stays alive as long as my house plants do I will give it two weeks. :)
