Calderwood Family Reunion August 2008

It has been a long time since we have all been able to get together. With all of us living so far apart we don't get to do this often. I hadn't seen Shaun and Rebecca for almost two years, and this was the first time that any of us siblings had seen Ella, our newest addition to the family. So we made use of all our time. Everyone arrived on Thursday night late and we got settled in. The next morning we got up and talked and had a great time and then in the afternoon we all went to Ouray. We hiked up box canyon, walked the shops on the main street and then we went swimming and had a blast playing water volleyball. We were horribly loud, laughing and yelling as the usual Calderwood competiveness came out. After swimming we all went home for some dinner and we relaxed and then played another round of volleyball in the backyard, in the dark. Saturday was filled. The girls went shopping in Montrose and the boys went to Silverton to check out the sites. When we got home we had a surprise birthday for Mom and she was totally surprised!! The night ended with more visiting and volleyball. We all had a great time together and I can't wait to do it again!!

All My Children (Lazy Crazy Beasts)

This is the picture I took this morning as I was leaving for work. First of all lets note Ashlee's room: Appearently some serious problems with time management have cropped up this summer. So here she is, sleeping sideways on her bed, blankets everywhere. Sadie is in her usual spot at the top of the bed, on the pillow, the Pops at the foot of the bed, spralled out, and Polly on the floor trying to figure out if there is enough room for her to squeeze into a spot. Oh yes... another productive day for my children!

While Mom's Away The Family Will Play

The first week of August was a full week of play for everyone. Jaci was here visiting Bill and Ashlee's friend Kylie came to visit her from Vegas. They all played the entire week. Kylie and Ashlee rode their bikes around town (which was fun for Kylie since she can't do that kind of thing in Vegas) Bill took Jaci swimming, to the movies, and hiking. Me... oh I worked.

I wish I was Belle.... I would tell Lumierre and Mrs. Potts to go get me some dang dinner so I didn't have to cook myself. Then I would mess around with Gaston for awhile, pretend that I like him and then dump him. Then I would go into my gigantic library and read. Man I could use a day of rest, reading a good book!!

Intelligent and kind. Your beauty goes much further than your apperance. Also, you make judgements of people based on their personality and not their looks. Attaining all the knowledge that you can is one of your major goals in life, but you are also a person who can make things happen.

Girls Camp 2008

I made it through another Girls Camp... barely. I am not a great camper. I am always up for a day in the wilderness, but I like to sleep in my own bed and I LIKE TO HAVE A SHOWER EVERYDAY!!! We did have a great time and it was absolutely beautiful. There were lakes everywhere with streams and waterfalls all around. When we went on the 2nd year hike we walked through lush grasses and trees, meadows and patches of Aspen trees. There were wild flowers everywhere. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was very fun to go back up to Ragged Mountain. I went to Ragged Mountain my first year of Girls Camp when I was 12 years old. It was fun to be there with Ashlee this year. I was in charge of all the Level 2 girls and we had a BIG camp. 40 people in all. I was a lot of work but the girls had fun and I got to work with some great leaders from the stake.
